Goodbye Deductible

Goodbye Deductible®

If your car were stolen or vandalized, or you had an accident, wouldn’t it be a big relief to know that no deductible will be applied when you make a claim?

Here’s how it works.

Under an insurance policy, a deductible is the amount of money you owe when your claim payment is settled after an at-fault accident. When you buy insurance, you determine the amount of your deductible both for collision coverage, which is protection against damage to your car when you are at fault, and comprehensive coverage, which is protection against theft, vandalism and other perils.

Note: There are some variations, but most policies include both collision and comprehensive coverage.
When you file a claim, your deductible is deducted from our reimbursement (hence the term “deductible”). For example, your deductible could be set at $250. If you have a car accident and your damages come to $2,500, you will be reimbursed $2,250.

When you purchase Goodbye Deductible, however, no deductible is applied: If you make a claim for $2,500, you will be issued a cheque for the full amount.
